Softball Valley will be open for practice starting sunday April 1 at 10:00am, please book your spots using the boards at softball valley.
No Saturday prtactice unless you make arrangemnets with the Softball Valley office!
They have been moving some trees so there are areas under construction.

Welcome everyone to the 2012 mixed slowpitch season. The AGM/registration meeting is Tuesday February 28th, 7:00 at the coast hotel. Registration forms will be available there but please take the time to fill out the form on our website and then print it off. It just makes it so much easier to read and to enter all of the information into the computer. When they are hand written it is often very difficult to read the email addresses. If you do fill out the form by hand please print clearly. Also note the form on the website does not have the current fees, those were the fees from last year. This year’s fees are as follows
A division $1000 returning team
$1050 new team
B-E division $750 returning team
$800 new team
It is very important all teams include 2 contacts including email addresses for each. All communication will be done through email and the website so if you don’t check your email on a regular basis maybe a secondary contact who does would be a good idea. I don’t want anyone to miss any important information because of that.
-$100 deposit is no longer due because if the entire amount is not paid by March 28th you will not be scheduled.

-Nomination of 2 auditors to review the financial statement for 2011
-Casino June 3 &4th. Volunteers needed.
-Reminder of score drop off box and if the team doesn’t show up to write that on the paper somewhere.
-Addition of 6 new teams (2-C, 2-D, 2-E) based on the number of diamonds we will have this year.
-Use of NSA rules this year. Discuss any exceptions we would like to implement.
-Presentation of new bat list
-Review NSA's new shaved bat testing policy

February 28th AGM
March 28 Registration 6:00-9:00 Backstreet South (After 8:00 returning teams will not have their spots held any more) New teams will be accepted based on the number of available spots and can still come to the AGM or before 8:00 and get their name on the waiting list. New teams will be added to the waiting list once they are fully paid.
March 28 cut off for registration. Any teams not fully paid will not be scheduled.
April 18 hand out schedules, balls, etc.
April 30 Season Begins
August 2nd last day of scheduled games
August 7-14 set aside for make up games
August 17-19 Playoffs
-Open the floor up to new business, comments, questions, etc...
Please let me know if you have anything to add and I look forward to seeing everyone on the 28th. If you can’t make the meeting please line someone up in your place. It shouldn’t take more than an hour and it important to get as many teams as possible out.
We have over 200 likes on our facebook page and it has proven to be an effective way to relay information so I will continue to update that with any important news and or changes.
